LONELINESS RETURNS

LONELINESS RETURNS

A Poem by angelina neves
"

for the challenge in Albert's Poetry Caf - LONELINESS

"

The sun fades in the horizon
lingering the shadows fall densely
the sea howls
rumbles
moans against the rocks.

The cars
the animals
the people
pass by slowing down
some stop to look at the sea
rarefying

The sun fades in the horizon
lingering the shadows fall densely
softening peacefully
the colors
the sounds

Walking calmly over the sea
once again
this feeling of loneliness returns
the sense of emptiness
realizing

you are too small
and useless
lost

inside
this
universal
greatness

Dear Angie...it's unfathomable the place we are in space and time when we really don't know how much of space and time there really are. I see a specter of a grain of sand upon an endless beach knowing full well it can't comprehend the horizons of it's environment. A wonderful write to emphasize the sense of loneliness.

This is very powerful, you have captured a certain depth of emotion that makes this reader stop and take a deep breath. Wonderful... overwhelming!

That gave me a feeling of being overwhelmed, the unique wording made me feel like I
was there in the middle of all of it!! Awesome!!! (-:

Another well penned submission for my contest. Thank you Angi!
You painted a real "loneliness scenario" indeed with your
talented pen here, and I found myself hanging on every last
descriptive word.

I enjoyed the read very much and thank you
again for helping to "Keep the Dream Alive" ! ~ Helena
