emptiness...

emptiness...

A Poem by angelina neves

Abstractions
Abstract nouns
painting images
in our creative minds
figurative illustration of life
feelings of dreams - love
opposite to the concrete ways of life
eat-digest-sleep
... ... in a dark warm or worm hole
a safe emptiness
where creations are shadows
... ... safe?!
we are never safe
there are convulsions
earthquakes!

Emptiness
abstract noun surreality
... ... nothings is ever empty
although our concrete imperfect eyes
refuse to see
voids full of invisibilities
... ... air, storms, light, love
amazing possibilities!

Love
a verb:
I love you
you love us
we all love in opposition to hate
feelings in actions
abstract motions
as dreams and sadness
just mare illusions
creations of our minds
... ... for our pleasure
words becoming meanings
the meanings we invent!

The emptiness of love
fanciful metaphor
matching abstractions
marrying love with illusion of voids
... ... love, emptiness, sadness
dreams, hate, devotions
so far apart from concrete
we can't hold to them
kip them safe in a Bank
nothing material
all just abstracted creations
... ... trying to justify
the basic necessities
to eat-digest-sleep

And yet...
and yet we hold dearly
to our passions
devotions - definitions
enamored with abstract words
creating affections
delights we taste
... ... metaphor abstrations
is what we live for in our minds!

So... why?
why, if feelings are just abstractions
we create hate
drink sadness
or idealize dark emptiness?

I love in opposition to hate
and my passion is to paint
my abstractions
with the vivid colors
of the concrete sun dance
with the embody particles of rain
making fancy rainbows
with invisible feelings
singing joyful delights!

- Emptiness?
Emptiness doesn't exist!

Emptiness certainly doesn't exist in your world Angi! What a delightful, well thought out poem!
I loved the read, the way it was set out, everything about it was top class! BRAVO
