Shadows

Shadows

A Poem by Deidre

Lurking in the shadows
I watch the scene
before me
It plays out into words
that flow across the page
I feel I must describe
The softest wind
the gentlest whisper
the harsh clang of the swords
th hooves of the horses running
I merely write a simple moment
but to other is seems much more.

Deidre,

Sadness is - in this society, filled with gloom and pain, we invent the shadow.

We invite him in and sit down for tea with him... that is, when we hear the word shadow.

My immediate preception on the title SHADOWS, was just that. It was until the literal meaning became clear. You were lurking in the shadows. ah~ what a mistake I made to believe the trickery my mind placed.

So, on your poem, your poem was full of imagery and originality. I have grown accustomed to doom, this poem lit a candle of hope in me, that what we see is not always what is real.

Thank you for bringing this poem to the cafe' for all to see.

Have a wonderful day,

Legacy
