Open Book

Open Book

A Poem by Deidre

THey say they can
read me like
an open book
but
they don't know
that I live
to lives
each half lived
I may be an
open book
but I'm only
half-way open.

I like this poem with its feeling of don't judge me yet, I am not done being amazing yet. There is a duality to me. I think it is very expressive.

Did you mean "two" lives each half lived. If so, that is the only little typo I would change about this wonderful succinct poem.

Nice write!
