Once upon a time, came the End...A Poem by aspiring-novelist-angelA poem about my memories and my identityThe waves keep crashing, more sand swept over, keep sweeping, sweeping it all under, to cover it all, make it disappear… I am just a cover, a blank book who would dare to pick me without knowing? there is still a story here… A bud blooming, folding out, slowly it unravels, watch me open up bit by bit. But one cannot ignore, the thorns that protect and prevent the unfit. Deep within the sand, where grains become my soul, myself is engraved. Screaming breaks the silence, you cannot help what cannot be saved. Glimpses of a world that doesn’t exist at least not to them. Quality is tested, reflected are you coal or a gem? A glass half full she fights to smile, but… can you see beauty in gloom? A treasure, new and surprising before you delved this deep, what did you assume? Everything takes you further, past the point of no return if you dare begin. A new dawn is approaching beware what you may find the veil is getting thin. The waves erode away the past each tick of the clock the more you understand. This is how you go, the roots reach till the depths of the sand. The shells whisper tell of legend spin a twisted tale… Of a girl with braided hair, at the top of a tower wide-eyed and pale. She awaits her knight, so that she may share her soul, but only meets day. Building blocks, that topple down, oh the games she would play. The dreams in the clouds, the feathers and wings, no limit in the sky… But the wings froze, fell to the ground, where fantasies die. Reality is there the corner of her eye, lurking out of shadowy sight. the struggle to love to forgive, surrender the fight. © 2012 aspiring-novelist-angel |

It is quite difficult for a sixteen year old to write a book that will actually have sufficient knowledge of language and not to mention experience. .. more..Writing
