I've taken this for too long
I'm tired of singing the same old song
I'm ready to sing a new tune
And I'm positive it will happen soon
Just because I have so much love for you in my heart
Doesn't mean I'll keep taking hits from your dart
The same dart that's been hitting me for years
No matter what happens, I seem to stay confused & full of tears
I'm ready to try something new
I have no choice, there's nothing else to do
My best option is to let you go
It hurts a lot & the healing process will be slow
But I hate getting hurt, so I'll just quit now

"To be or not to be" that is always the question, but if you have to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, I say "not to be." I like your poem, it sounds like your venting a broken heart :(
