Good MorningA Poem by Mona Lisa SmileJust a moment from the imaginary life that I lead in my head....
Opening my eyes, sleepy slow
In an embrace secure and warm, An arm cushioning my temple and My waist in the circle of an arm; An angel lying next to me, Hair all ruffled from the night, Eyelashes fanning sleep soft cheeks, Casting shadows in the morning light. The sun shines bright behind his head, Face reflecting the golden hue, Snuggling closer into his chest, I think, My darling, I love you. Soft words murmured in a sleepy voice, Fingers tracing over my face, My eyes staying closed as I Wake up again in the warm embrace. A soft exhale against my cheek, The ghost of lips over my ear, A hint of a smile in his voice, The angel says, "Good morning, dear."
