I'm Climbing

I'm Climbing

A Poem by angelinmypocket
"

A metaphorical composition, as the author is still suffering from the after effects of a stroke...but I'm Climbing with God's help.

A magnificent poem by a very strong woman. You are not a weakling. Throughout this poetic struggle to get somewhere, you have already reached the destination leaving the rest of us behind to catch up with your soaring spirit. Yes dear friend, as the music says in the background "still waters run deep." But that little minnow Liz has turned into a beautiful dolphin that has broken the top of the ocean in a magnificent graceful arch and is repeating it time after time. You have climbed the mountain, topped the sand dune and laughinly slid down the otherside. You have turned over to do the back stroke down the river of life, so you could admire God's sky on your way to be the life sustaining tributary to the immortal sea. Life's long highway is stretching out before you and steady at the wheel you have slowed down to take in the beautiful scenery along the way. Leaving the rest of us to our delaying detours, through vast wastelands. A journey to the moon is not necessary for you. God made sure an awesome one appears outside your window each night and has allowed you to remain to watch it rising and setting, but this was done as a gift to us. He knew how much we enjoyed your writing and what an inspiration you are to others. Sweetheart, relax! You have already done all that you strived for in this poem. You are so smart to realize all modern conviences have created more work. Gone are the evenings sitting on the front porch with family and friends, just enjoying each others company. We need to cut the lawn, paint the house, go to Lowe's to get more equipment to do more work.......and on and on and on. You are a remarkable woman.
