Beautiful Sis! Well written with such an emotional depth conveying your feelings of pain so well.
Poignant, sad and "loneliness" was flowing with your words, along with the music. Great write!
Thank you for "Keeping the Dream Alive!" ~ Helena

Well, I've known the feelings you are going through in this poem . Mine was Sad House. suggestion This is a good write and I like it but if it were mine I would leave the last line off. In my opinion it will make the poem even much stronger.
Leave some for the reader. Tony

very sad and beautifully painted... and most of the time we are so worried about material things to "give" that we forget that a hug is much more important!

This is so sad Liz.. wow.
It truly made my heart sink,
as I felt the pain of the writer..
knowing they lost the the one
they love to another ...
because of life's demands on them.

" you sought the affection that I was too tired to give"

That just seems like such a waste of love to me..
destroyed by the necessities of life -- but without
the necessities one can't live -- and without love --
well, life is empty -- so the necessities are almost cruel
at that point.

This is so well written ....
You bring your reader right into
the emotions --
and it flows effortlessly from beginning
to end.

Beautifully penned my friend! :)
Good luck in the contest --
you have a winner!
