My Happiness

 

 

The vision to my happiness
is looming in near future.
After knowing you and
loving you for so long,
A dream I wished has
come a little closer
When you asked me to be your bride
Stand forever by your side...
And planted in my heart, a song.

 

 

I planned with anticipation
the vision I will be,
When fully swathed
in gossamer and lace,
Your blushing bride to be...
I float up the isle with
a smile upon my face...
To take your hand...
beside you stand
And vow a forever
love just for you.

When the reverend asks,
'Do you take this man?'
And I look into your eyes
and whisper, 'I do.'
You take my hand and place
a gold wedding band
And then you say, 'I do too.'

Now I realize this sweet
anticipation I've felt
Has only been the growing
pains of a happiness
I've waited so long to see...
And this is when the
seeds of patience
Finally blossom into reality.
