Little Hope

Little Hope

A Poem by light and ashes

How fragile is the little flame of hope, and yet, it burns bright.
It is too strong to be stepped out by the feet of tyranny or turmoil.
It lives on for generations, and it will live on for generations to come.
Oh, that stubborn little flame, that just won't die.
Like that little flame, if there is breath, there is hope.
If there is but little flame, then the fire can grow.

How frail and fragile is that little flame of hope,
and yet, it burns bright. It is hard to be extinguished.
It is hard to be stepped out by the feet of tyranny or turmoil.
It lives on for generations, and will live on for generations to come.
Oh, that stubborn little flame that just will not die.
Like the little flame, if there is breath, there is hope.
If there is but little flame, the fire can grow.
