icarus

icarus

A Poem by light and ashes

Icarus,

Yes, I have known great sadness,
but I have also known brilliant Sunlight.
I guess, like Icarus, I flew too high.
My wings melted, and I crashed into the depths of the Seas of depression.
It almost swallowed me whole.
I will not make that mistake again.
My feet are becoming more planted to the ground than ever.
I am becoming more balanced.
I am breaking through.

I think one-day I will fly again.

I want to fly too my friend.
"I am becoming more balanced.
I am breaking through.
I think one-day I will fly again."
I liked the above lines. I prefer to be a hawk, if possible. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Such an uplifting and encouraging poem. Many have worn your wings my friend and have fallen with no sign of standing. Your poem shows them that there is light and you can fly away happily
