She awaits Spring

She awaits Spring

A Poem by light and ashes

She is a vision in Autumn.
Her brown eyes the color of the earth beneath her feet.
A face that has been touched by the grace of angels.
The wind gently caresses her cheek and tresses like a touch from God.
She is the most alive in the Spring.
Her heart rejoices with every bird song and buzzes with the bees.
In the Winter when all is silent she hungers to look upon the beautiful bounty of nature that is bestowed in the Spring.
Her lips that have begun to be chapped by the Winter long for Spring.

Me too my friend. Here in Michigan. The Winter kiss is here for three more months. I did like the poem. I am waiting for Spring too. I need a warm day and thank you my friend for sharing the entertaining and poetry.

I think we are all dealing with being chapped...and not just by the cold.
Last line, "begun."
But yes, we hibernate and get hungry...but the warmth will come again...and with it the nation will rise again, we will rise again.
and beauty will once again render itself to the photography of our minds and hearts.
