She awaits Spring

She awaits Spring

A Poem by light and ashes

She is a vision in Autumn.
Her brown eyes the color of the earth beneath her feet.
A face that has been touched by the grace of angels.
The wind gently caresses her cheek and tresses like a touch from God.
She is the most alive in the Spring.
Her heart rejoices with every bird song and buzzes with the bees.
In the Winter when all is silent she hungers to look upon the beautiful bounty of nature that is bestowed in the Spring.
Her lips that have begun to be chapped by the Winter long for Spring.

A lovely view of seasons softly spoken; a love for spring, autumn, winter, changes slowly from one to another, love changes with every season, just as birdsongs come an go ….your words are soft and flowing just like the movement of life.
Best,
B.

Thank you! :)
Different people make love worth living, different seasons make love with every day. Beautiful words with more unsaid than said: each season is an essential journey to another, ' The wind gently caresses her cheek and tresses like a touch from God. ~ She is the most alive in the Spring. '

Such fine words from you, a poem to learn, to repeat whatever the season. There is such gentleness here'.. a whispered request for hope and re.birth, methinks.

Thank you!!!!
Winters never really used to bother me, now they just seem to drag on and on.
This year really needs to be a good news year.
Spring can't come quick enough.

I hear you, Paul Bell.
I think we all feel that way....
Thank you for reading.
LA, she'll have that spring in her step in no time:) I do relish in all of the seasons tho the seasons seem to be becoming more and more extreme these days... Here it snowed on Saturday melted on Sunday and then it flurried on Monday the weather here is so chaotic anymore never know what to expect!

Beautifully composed. I love spring and all the hope it has to offer. The season of rebirth. Autumn has her colours but spring is where my heart is. Eagerly awaited in these short winter days with their long dark nights. This write can be interpreted on several levels. I admire that in a poem.

You are welcome :)
I love the way you paint a person with the seasons . . . sparkling imagery & imagination abound here. Of course, winter wimp that I am, I'm also awaiting spring with a grinding impatience. Your poem is also an interesting message about not judging a person by their outward appearance. She may look like autumn but she's full of spring! That's how it is with old people lots of times.
