Half an angel

Half an angel

A Poem by light and ashes

I am half an angel,
always half empty and half whole.

A saint with a halo made of bitterness.

I was born with a half broken heart.
Sometimes I have considered it a curse to feel things the way that I do....

Happiness is a ghost floating on the wind....

It never stays.

light and ashes
I was deeply inspired by the image and felt compelled to write something.

I like how you wrote from this image---

My thoughts are this...some, especially poets, often feel too deeply.
And that causes us to never feel entirely happy...
and often it is the empathy for others that makes us write, and makes us feel half-whole---
that the halo is half-burned-out.
