Sitting on a bench in July

Sitting on a bench in July

A Poem by light and ashes

I sit on a bench watching the cars go by busily like thoughts inside a brain. They drive in a circle through the round-about. Each one waits for their turn. They remind me of cells moving through a synapsis. People come in and out of buildings continuing on with this modern day life. I think to myself that we are all cogs inside of the machine. We are all just synapsis traveling through one giant brain.

What goes around, comes around; yes we are all in a cogwheel, turning our modern lives in a constant roll. I like your comparisons from cars Turing round and round the traffic circles to what what goes on in our brains, or just “ one giant Brain”! Nicely done Allie

You’re welcome!
Yes, and the universe is the body, so at least we can be grateful we are not the bits in between toes, or the crease at the back of the knee which no one knows the name of. Or the belly button, or eww, nostrils 😀
Sorry, it's silly O'clock in the morning here and haven't had my coffee yet. My synapses are still dead to the world, dreaming of being in someone else's head no doubt 😀
