Yes, the soul does live forever. As it is immortal, but I think it can and does die many times at least emotionally.

That soul is immortal we don't know yet but if it's an energy it's immortal..
But yes we can kill it's essence by trying not to recognize it's presence and know it's purpose..
Whats it's purpose? The body doesn't know..but body and mind has to coordinate with it to understand it..
