dearest "Light"... yes, tyranny cannot put out the flame of Hope.
We need to be reminded and also we need to remind our Citizens that Tyranny does exist and we really should "address" this when it occurs.... instead of ignoring that it happened. We need to enforce our Laws to live a Life of Freedom and kindness to our Fellow men and women and children. gently, Pat
Reminds me of "the fire triangle". Fire is actually a pretty rare thing in the universe, it requires a certain set of conditions that aren't common all together.
The sun isn't actually on fire... it's a super heated ball of plasma, it can start things on fire because of it's heat but... it ain't fire. The sun is closer to a self contained liquid than a flame as we know flames.
Hope is similar. Lucky people think it's common because of their conditions. In real life, most of the world does suffer... in a way most of us are not familiar with.
Words I needed to read, in just the way I needed to read them. I've been struggling with my sense of hope or being hopeful as of late. This was reassuring, thank you.
You show us In strong words the value o HOPE, that it cannot disappear, no matter what…. The flame remains, in all the chaos of life, wars, sickness, , belonging, …. That little flame of hope will always burn bright through troubles and turmoil….it will always protect us forever.lovely write!
Warmly, B
Your poem is both a beautiful and hopeful prayer , plus tribute to all those who face their problems with courage. 'Oh, that stubborn little flame that just will not die.' Hope is everything.
Wow, I love this, that flame now I understand the title could it be desire that makes us lose Faith.
Nice write ur right it's what we have insight, thank you for sharing.
That’s all it takes, a glimmer of flame for it to be nurtured. A little bit of light so you can see the end of the dark tunnel. Without hope, we might as well give up. I like what you have written here bubble.
Strange, your poetry is a more of a prayer and you‘re the second person to offer to pray with me today. Not even ten a.m. yet 🤔 Well, wherever there is a need soon there will a calling. Let it blossom wherever it may need or be willing. Beautiful are the meanings wherever they may be~ Beautiful!

I don't think I wrote this thinking it was a prayer, but I guess I don't mind it.
Thank you.

Harvard has this recommended list of poems to read and they believe if you do not study to understand the Bible then you will not have a solid understanding or idea of what poetry is so, not that Harvard is at the top of my list but still, reading The Book of Kings, Genesis, The Parables, and, of course, The Gospels… Matthew, Mark, Luke and John . Some of the greatest poets of all began with the word of God and after all ” In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God” How are you supposed to top that?… lol. I thought it felt like a prayer 🤷🏻♂️

The book of Psalms is entirely made up of poetry,
and I definitely did not go to Harvard.
I'm fine with your interpretation, though, I find it a little odd.
