A Girl

A Girl

A Poem by light and ashes

She was just a girl,
an angel undercover,
disguised as a frightened child.
Shaken and shell shocked  from the traumas she had lived through.
On her skin, she wore the scars of all the battles she had faced alone,
from the War that she faced all alone.
Life seldom leaves any of us unmarked.
She reviled in the Sunlight.
No matter what, she always smiled.
The darkest night could not put out her inner glow.
