Endings

Endings

A Poem by light and ashes

The caterpillar ended a phase of it's life, as one thing.
It thought it would be the death of it, altogether, but it was not.
It opened it's eyes, and tasted the air,
in it's new body.
Endings are not always sad.

Yes I too think some endings are very good and timely. Your message is right on the money.

You are welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed this.
the many lives of a caterpillar, we evolve as well many times in our lives, ever changing, true endings are not always sad

"tasted the air"....I love that line. It's true, some endings are actually the beginning of something wonderful, but most people are frightened by change. Great write here.

very true, endings are not always sad....many of us believe in an afterlife...or we reinvent ourselves into someone else... so the caterpillar shouldn't feel bad because he didn't die, he was reinvented ; lovely little piece that makes a big statement...
Best, B

Very well presented. As one journey ends, another begins.
