Flower

Flower

A Poem by light and ashes

I am a flower,

both sweet and sour.

Mostly sweet, but a little bit bitter.

If you were to consume me, you would

taste a bite of spice.

You would find that this flower bites back

when you eat it.

It would be like swallowing the fire of a

dragon.

Your tongue may even bleed,

like eating a splinter or a flower along with

it's thorns, but....

the nectar is oh, so sweet..

This flower does not like to be eaten, and

she will not be consumed.

Thank you, mam! I really appreciate your input!
A strong flower with bittersweet sentiment
however; gentle, yet those thorns protect
and bite when provoked..a flower who will
not be consumed ..nice metaphor threaded
throughout..well written & rendered

Hell yeah, thank you.
This is not a happy, friendly flower, so when you're walking in the garden, please avoid her....
very imaginative...

That could be too… you’re very welcome!
Best, B.
Sounds like a garden you wouldn't want to visit for an entire day but a short visit is worth it
