Demon

I looked deep into the eyes of a Demon,
just to realize that I had been mistaken.
It was, an angel, instead.

I never believed in angels, so this didn't surprise me; the demon part is more accurate to me since we are now faced with a dangerous political spectrum...more demons will surprise you than ever before.....no angels here...only demons as far as I am concerned...and each of us should be as well...Nice write

Well, now I can identify with this one. With a name like Perdition that was originally intended to quantify the process of poetry and the poet. A living hell so to speak but in the end you'd cut off your hand for a poem. A wealth in the words here and chilling expression. This one makes you wonder if it was a mirror or a single day a brand of breakfast cereal or some remnant of the past lingering that you finally made peace with...or perhaps all. Wealthy in reflection and dichotomy. Thanks~
