Water Weaver

Veil me in stars, (Yuumei) Wenqing Yan

Weaver of Water,

the surface shimmering like a second Sky,

reflecting brilliant Starlight.

You are the Weaver of Beauty.

Your hips are like the waves,

beautiful and full....

moving like the rhythm of the tides. 

They move with deep meaning.

You are life.

You are water, flowing out clear and true with Divine purity.

The sister of Mother Earth, 

without you she would not have her being,

you, oh, Luminous Saint,

of Starlight.

You are Heaven's angel.

You are the Sacred Protector of Life,

and the Guardian of Dreams.

about water (the source of all life) and divine femininity
also a nod to the Aquarius (the water bearer)

That was beautiful. Magical way to describe water. It sounded like a love poem.

Some poems are measured by their flow and others by content but still others through action and the influence they invoke, this sent me immediately to the page where my fingers turned to sloth in response to what has become, so I turned to the camera and found the eye much more able but this is a site for words where I still learn from every poet I meet..some good, some in process. This will be measured by the poems to come and what a wonderful thing to be so influenced by a poet on this site so thank you for returning and more so for this gift of your poetry!

I think this poem reads so well to not have meter or rhyme scheme. Some times we go back and forth about the subjects of rhyme scheme and meter but here you have shown that a poem needs neither to flow as gently and as magically as any river.
You have done and excelent job flowing your thoughts and the imagery attatched to them onto the page here.
