This reminds of the power of mind and creation. We see things in the clouds and make them what we want. We turn the world to our purposes. And sometimes we do this to escape.
Incredibly powerful imagery Allie...I resonate, a lot. This touched me deeply, this realm feels so illusionary at times and real home seems somewhere completely different. There is such a claustrophobic energy to this piece but also a warmth and fragilty, nicely done :)
The cloud road offers a different perspective, an elevated platform, to look up, around or down. And, wouldn't it be a grand view, unobstructed by those who doubt, judge, bind us in history and expectations? There's a freedom up there, and the good will surely know it in due time. There's a heaviness to this poem, but beauty and hope.
i think that would be great if we could...but we must be careful of burning our feet...the stars might seem burned out by the time we see them, but I wouldn't trust that.
I wonder if there is a heaven, and if so...on the way up, we are allowed to turn around and take a last look at what we are leaving.
