remembering a beautiful time...............

 

it was long ago

a time far away

when lovers loved

when lovers played

when all was right

when wrong felt good

when lovers loved

the way they should

oh so long ago

oh so far away

remembrances

like the sweetest candy

like drops of honey

crystalline dew

lovers loved

like i loved you

in white sunshine

of summer days

on greenest grass

of lazy days

immersed we were

we were like one

so real so right

like lovers love

so warm

was your touch

so soft was your kiss

so our hearts beat

in rhythmn

to our heaving breaths

so lovely

were your eyes

like sparkling seas

like lovers we were

high

like the tallest evergreens

natural and right

like a butterfly breeze

casting a wonder

tempting me

remembrances of those

beautiful days

it was long ago

I loved the nostalgia in this poem and the way it was presented. Most of the flow was so fluid and the parts that werent, well they fitted perfect anyway

i like this very much. it is light in form and imagery. and by that i don't mean lacking. light in the sense of airy. though nostalgic for the days it describes, it's not morose. it's more a celebration of those days. a very summer-y poem. skillful. well done.
