A foreign concept

Holding hands

A date: she, a beauty in a low cut skin tight Dress at a table waiting for, Me, who currently Hyperventilates in a fancy restaurant bathroom hoping it never comes up 

Seeing my future with you and loving you feeling off because of what it’s tied to. Romance. 

Feeling: 

Off

Wrong

But hugging you

Being with you:

Shopping with you

Baking with you

Cooking with you

Platonic sleeping 

Together 

In your room. Soft bed soft hearts. Three.  

Our cat included. 

That feels right. That feels home. That feels like home.

We love eachother

In a strong way

In a delicate way

In a beautiful way

Emotional connection never fraying at the sides

It’s colorful

It’s a rainbow

Like the rainbow bridge except nobody dies

And our cat comes with. 

Feeling good now. 

We don’t need to be anxious

We can just exist with each other. 

Having everything in the open

Relationship pressure: disintegrating && nonexistent 

Viscous love

Where we scream caring words at each other

Or eat pizza at Sam’s club

And get couples manicures because we *do* love each other

Just in a different way, you see?

The ones where we recklessly go camping

And do mushrooms 

And drink alcohol 

And cause a scene in a bar bathroom and smile at the walls where the bats live and long to be them

Then suddenly we wake up with a headache and 

We can remember *everything*

And we smile because we’re badass b*****s

And our cat knows it too.
