Thought I could move on

Thought it would be easy

Now that you are gone

 

I was doing ok and everything was alright

But then you called

And it seemed like we talked forever that night

 

Wishing you were here

And it just hurts more

Every time I shed a single tear

 

You’re always on my mind

And I hate myself for that

But its so hard to hide

 

Living every day by the minute

But its my life

And I gotta live it

Thought I could move on

Thought it would be easy

Now that you are gone

 

But life’s just getting harder every day

Waiting patiently to see you

There’s not much more I can say

 

Holding on to all the memories

But their blowing in the wind

For everyone else to see

 

Trying to live up to everyone’s expectations

But its not easy

It takes a whole lot of dedication

 

Cant wait for you to see your son

“I love you daddy”

One day we can have a lot of fun

Thought I could move on

Thought it would be easy

Gripping on to the times we shared

They were great, but….

To tell someone, only if I dared!

 

Loving you with all my heart

I would have done anything for you

It’s a shame we had to part

 

Things were going so good for us

But then you changed

And I just lost interest

 

I gave you my heart

But you just tore it up

So maybe its better that we’re apart

It is a great piece, I like it. Firstly it reminded me of my lost love, the suffering that I went through and the memories that we've created. Our words carry a strong image and bitter sound. "Thought I could move on

Now that you are gone" I like how you came about this lines, they hold a rough hurting mood
