Birthday Poem For My MomA Poem by Ashley MarieIt's sad that most of this isn't true and I had to make up some good things that I think a mother would do but here it isRoses are Red Violets are Blue I'm so lucky to have a mother like you You've been with me through all the years You comfort me and wiped my tears You showed me how to ride a bike Taught me the kinda boy not to like You let me sleep in your bed with you Cause my nightmares and thinking a monster would breakthrough I cried cause all the other girls have a daddy for their special dance You said I'm your mom and dad I love you twice as much,Dont even give them a glance You were always there to cheer me on Even if I thought I messed up and was wrong You tricked me one day when I got home from school I found concert tickets in my draw smiled and laughed like a fool When my boyfriend I loved broke up with me you held me tight You gave me advice said give it some time and everything will be alright And I know your my mom you want the best for me But you need to understand I have to find out who I wanna be Im sorry that Im not the best daughter and we always fight But you taught me everything and you raised me right I know you will be here for me through the years to come No matter how far I go,I will always remember were I come from I'll try to be easier to get along with,I may not show it but I love you And I know I should say it more but I do appreciate you too © 2012 Ashley MarieAuthor's Note
