solid theme and wisdom of ages ...through turmoil that breeds fear, anxiety and doubt ..the lesson of simply turn on the light is deeply profound ..and you add to that a lesson of being a welcome safe harbor for others as well .. obviously you have taken time to get this "just right" ;) it has a thoughtful cadence, fine rhyme, and invites me to feel the comfort that Faith can bring ..i like the presentation of a card as well... nice work says i!

This is nearly perfect, to my reading! I love the rhyme & rhythm, perfectly crafted. I love the way you start with the difficult scene & work your way smoothly & gradually to your stated answer. I totally see this as the spark of hope that God is for me. But I can also appreciate that you've written this message in such a way that many readers can interpret according to their own source of hope.
angeleapaugh,
"Candle in the window" This poem adds warmth to its meaning somehow. I like how you describe "for the blanket I wrap around me draws me to its flame." I also see hope;It is the light that guides me. It is the hope I cannot name." I love the feeling also of comfort and safety; But the glow that casts its light is a welcome I can endure and drawn to a safe haven." Others are included; Blessed is the traveler who knocks upon this door, kinship will abide him, he will want for naught no more." I found this pleasant and comforting with a message of "Keep going, keep trying, don't give up!..................Bless you. Kathy
