Just the Way She Smiles

Just the Way She Smiles

A Poem by Victoria Scott
"

Whenever I see anyone who just makes it his/her goal to make everyone happy :)

"

See her standing on the corner everyday

Coffee in hand, at the new Starbucks café

Purple boots, she wears, in the sunshine,

Standing out, in the open, like a stop sign

Making a statement with every move that she makes

Letting you know she’s got something to prove, no mistake

The rain seems to clear whenever she’s around

One wonders if there’s anything that ever gets her down

But I guess it’s just the way she smiles.

The way those big ole’ glasses hang on her nose

And whenever she laughs it goes right down to her toes.

Yah, the rain seems to clear whenever she’s around

One wonders if there’s anything that ever gets her down

But I guess it’s just the way she smiles.

I really liked this, it was sweet. It was... I don't know, just really, really good. :P But I didn't particularly like the line, "And whenever she laughs it goes right down to her toes." I don't know. It just seems like an unnecessary exaggeration. Play around with some different rhymes, you may find something that sounds really cool. :P Other than that awesome job.
