Ode to Farewell

I'm moving away from all of my closest friends, very far away. And the few days I have left with them...this is what I want to show them. This is for them :)

As I bid farewell

I just say I wish you well.

I pray that life is good to you.

Hopefully out there

My dreams have a chance of coming true.

But you got me here,

To where I am

Thank you for the memories, of where my life began

Where I learned how to take a stand

And every time I fall, to land.

Maybe somewhere, out there

When we all separate someday

We’ll have the chance to replay

All these memories we have stored away

Just so we can say

“We remember.”

So thank you for being there for me

At the beginning of that road called destiny

Cause there were times I was scared

And I’m sure you understood

Taking  away as much pain as you could.

So thanks for being the memories

I could take with me.
