Galaxies and Spaceships

Galaxies and Spaceships

A Poem by Victoria Scott
"

This is actually a song, but it can be read as a poem, its about a boy whose father dies and he can only escape reality through imagination :)

"

Verse 1:

I wanna let go

And be weightless on my own

No hand to hold

On my own, all alone

Waiting here for you to come

To take me home, to take me home

Maybe when my shoes untied

Or maybe when I trip and fall

You hold me close, shut out the pain

You see it all, you see it all.

Pre Chorus:

So look at the colors,

As the sun fades away

Its only half a day its only half a day.

Chorus:

Dreamer don’t close your eyes!

The night sky is your disguise

When you see that shooting star

Reminding you im not so far

Just a galaxy away

just forever and a day

till I’ll be home again

Verse 2:

Remind me of those days of long ago

When my dreams were a token that gave me hope

When galaxies and spaceships never left me behind

And your picture was the only link I had.

Maybe on the monkey bars he’ll catch me when I fall

Or if never ending teardrops are a prayer to the stars at all

That he’ll come back to me

And ill learn how to walk

On my own, on my own

Bridge:

Picking up the pieces of broken dreams

Holding onto the hope of anything

Praying God would take me away

In that spaceship someday

Just to be with you
