I wish I could see the way you feel

I wish I could touch love, I wish it was real

So that I could assure myself everyday

That your love would never go away.

I wish your love was like a gift

That when I opened it your heart would lift

Out from under the Christmas tree

And shine so bright the world could see.

I wish every moment was like a song 

That played on the radio all day long

So the world could hear your love for me

As the notes fit my heart and sung to the melody.

I wish every word was like a star

That shone like the fireflies kept in a jar

So that even your love could be seen at night

And over all the world it would shine just as bright.

I wish your love was as constant as the dawn

That rose every morning even when you are gone

I wish your love was holding my hand

So I'm always comforted, always able to stand.

I wish...such a cliche thing to say

When you show me how you love me in the little things everyday

Your love is something that I have to trust

But isn't that all about love is trust?

I give you my heart you understand

Hold it close to your heart, hold it closed in your hand

I give you the key to my heart cause I know

That its safe in your hands and you won't let it go.
