LukewarmA Poem by Victoria ScottThis is written for the benefit for the lukewarm christians who go to church but have no real spiritual discernment when it comes to having a real personal relationship with Jesus. You don’t need me to tell you so In your heart I believe you know It’s true you’ve gone astray And if you died today I have no idea where you would go. One day the scales will fall Your eyes will see it all The voices of many cry As their souls within them die But your heart is cold to their warning call. I see the torment behind your eyes As your discernment slowly dies I hope you realize THIS won’t last Time is short, eternity vast And when you die, who hears your cries? You chose what you did and now must pay the price You turned away from the Word, you turned from His advice And when you die there is no doubt Your sins will, one day, find you out You took a chance, you lived your life, you gambled it when you rolled the dice, And just your soul will not suffice. © 2012 Victoria Scott |
