Point of ViewA Poem by Victoria ScottThis poem is sort of like "Empty Shells" its just about looking into people and seeing the nonexistent peace of those without the Lord.
Everywhere I look I see the empty shells of people living in the everyday
As graceful as their movements appear to be They are but robots, trying their best to appear as though they are living Relaying the recorded conversations, lifeless words, into helpless ears They try to sound like the voice of heaven "Believe in yourself!" And yet what is there left to believe in? Our shallow minds and empty souls, deranged, have emptied us of understanding and emotion. What murdered the hearts of the millions that inhabit society. We were brainwashed with the lie, That no matter what....we are all that we need. Even our lies have grown empty, Just as our minds have grown deluded and so ignorant of everything they let in. Their guard is down and they were yet taken over There are few who still have heart and soul There are few who still have the courage to stand against the status quo of the empty and lifeless.
