His Broken Smile

His Broken Smile

A Poem by Starrbitt

He walks around with a heavy heart

And smiles a broken smile

His clothes speak everything that's dark

And his eyes shatter for awhile

He drips with tears and spots the ground

With nothing but sorrow

When he speaks you hear no sound

And you know that tomorrow

He'll wake again all broken

And coated in salt

His scars will burn from being woken

And will yell at him to halt

They'll say stop crying boy

Or when you die you'll be alone

But he doesn't listen as people toy

With his feelings as he walks home

And when he opens up his door

Behind it is shadows of all sorts

That scream and beg for more

Tears that need escorts

So up the stairs he goes

Wishing their was someone he knew

That could stop these words at flow

And who could stop these tears of new
