TemporaryA Poem by Athena AngelA silly poem about a temporary crush
His eyes light up
talking about a past he's no longer a part of his eyes scope the room looking for something he lost too soon i listen to every tale that leaves his lips i romanticize a secret, i pray to keep it i laugh when he laughs and for a moment the world stops his jokes take away anything sad any bad feeling, or bad thought wish days could like this could be forever wish we were always together i'll think about you when you're gone I'll convince myself that it's wrong i'll think about how you don't see what i do you don't see the beauty in what makes up you i try to memorize all your little things and later i'll play them back like a movie And things have to come to an end you're a shooting star I can see from far away you're the love letter i never send you're the moon lighting up the darkest night you're the words i'll never say you're all that's temporary i can't hold on to something that doesn't last very long that's what one would think i can't listen to a repeated song and maybe that song is too good to give up but eventually you'll have had enough i'll think of the way you laugh i'll think about the fact that you call and talk to her and that's when i remember that this feeling will eventually fade that you can't hold onto what's temporary © 2017 Athena AngelReviews
