Fred.

Fred.

A Poem by Juliet Forshaw

I drank from the cup, which was on the shelf, that had been built by Ted, who Fred brought round.

I glanced at the chair which stood on the floor, that had been mopped by Lilly whom Ted hired, after Fred brought him round.

I watered the plant which sat at my feet, that had been brought by Jane whom knew Lilly, that Ted hired after Fred brought him round.

I called Jane whom Lilly knew, and said thanks for the plant which sat at my feet, and then on the floor that Lily whom Ted hired had mopped, after Fred brought him round.

so amazing , to me this poem signifies how one person can just change a chain of events that take a turning for the best or worst in someone's life. presented in 4 time related lines which become longer and longer , it feels as if this "fred" is creating more and more bonds , everyone relates to him.
