A Bend in the RoadA Poem by Angela L GarrattSomething's never changeA Bend in the Road Over the years buildings change, Trees sway but change their range. Towns people getting old, The streets are no longer cobbled. So has gone the open top bus, There are more people making a fuss. The air’s no longer thick with smoke, Instead on the car fumes we’ll all choke. Men wearing suits and walking with a cane, Even the fashions are not the same. Shadows cast a very high sigh, As to the past we say goodbye. As times change and stories are told, There will always be the bend in the road. 17th June 2012 © © 2014 Angela L GarrattAuthor's Note
