Backstabbed

Backstabbed

A Poem by ang

Honesty is rare to find

A trait that no longer exists

The reciprocation is expected

But never given

Nothing to hide

A relationship so pure

Until a sharp pain is felt in your back

You fall to the ground

The knife next to your face

A struggle to get up

Thoughts of who destroying your mind

Thoughts of why you're trying to find

In the reflection is a figure

Barely able to make it out

You soon realize the person who stabbed you

Is the lone soul

You thought you couldn't live without

Seems like the ones we love are always the ones who hurt us the most..
