From our conception we were
constructed of different cloth
destined by fate never to share
a wardrobe or dresser drawer
I of common cotton
treated with no regard
inexpensive to replace
becoming stained and pilled
cut up into rags to be used
to wipe away spills before
being callously discarded
You woven from threads
of the world's finest silk
sewn into a tailored suit
scrupulously cared for
