Prologue

They say that being unique always has its advantages. Well, maybe not always. That’s my life for you. I’m not saying that my life is a total mess, but it isn’t perfect either. After my parents disappeared, I had to stop going to my private school and go to the only free one that was close by. That, by the way, is in the next town over. So I guess you could say that it was a lot of walking considering I had no way of transportation. It was a small town and everyone �"but me �" was the same. Or at least, tried to be. For starters, they all had common names like Ashley, Brittany, John and so on. You get the picture. But I, well, let’s just say that my name just might be too unique. It’s never been heard of in this town or the next one, or the town after that and so on. Still, my name is what probably made everyone angry at me. I mean, no one seemed to like me because I was so different from them.
