Yearning

Yearning

A Poem by Angel Bluestocking
"

It's an essay (of sorts) for to those who have liked someone...

"

Yearning

In the morning,
you are the first
to remind me of my life.
The emptiness,
and shallow desires
of my youth.

The dreams I couldn't grasp
and the hollow comfort
of day dreams
within a thing
that I call a heart.

Everyday, I see you
in my mind's eye.
The warmth and love
shining -- so blinding.
Looking at you
makes me so sick inside...

I hate it.
I hate you.
Grieved for the reminder:
What I couldn't have.
What I couldn't touch.

Fantasies of your love.
Being near you.
To be the reason
for the warmth in your smile.

Dreams that will never come true.
Just a hollow heart pinning for it.
