The gift of nature

The gift of nature

A Poem by Angana Choudhury

A change I can see,
All around me.
New soft leaves, golden bee,
All dancing in glee.

Trees have worn new attire,
Sings cuckoo, the new comer.
I look into the nature,
All colourful, as if soaked in dyes by a dyer.

I sit by the window & think,
About the birds and their fluttering wing,
The joy & love the violet orchids bring,
In the beautiful spring.

Spring ends, summer comes,
Along with it the rain comes.
In mesmerize, the frog jumps,
Peacocks dance at the top of humps.

Ponds are filled,
Leaves are cleaned,
The whole earth is drenched,
And the thirst is quenched.

After summer, the weather becomes cooler,
Leaves on the trees are fewer.
I can see the greenness nowhere,
As there prevails autumn everywhere.

Autumn is over, here comes the winter,
The curtain of snow has draped every corner.
To play with the snow, the children become keener,
They greet this winter with gales of laughter.

Spring, summer, autumn, winter,
Makes a complete year.
They don't bring changes only in nature,
They do make our characters finer.

Like the spring, we should be merry maker,
And make our mind crystal clear.
We should be as strong as thunder,
As true as the summer shower.

To gain the finest character,
We should look into the nature.
Because the true jewels of man are hidden in the deeper,
Of the season like autumn & winter.
