Boys Don't Cry

Boys Don't Cry

A Poem by Megan

She held her guard for quite some time

Seeing through the little white lies

Hesitance at the back of her mind

He's getting angry with failed attempts and tries

Careful not to show this, he could push her away

A cold shoulder could last forever

And he's got his eye on his prey

So unfortunate, he is so clever

Wait until she is distressed

When she is in need

Then put her to the test

With your selfish plead

Only too late she will see her mistake

Feeling worse than before

You were the heartless fake

Her heart he tore

Taking from her all

Leaving her with nothing

She's waiting for that call

Just waiting for something

But she is part of the game

Left high and dry

Left unloved all the same

She knows boys don't cry

No they certainly do when they are at the receiving end. Some show their distress, some just keep it inside, ready to explode at any time.
Nice poem i say...the flow was great and showed depth and substance within. Please carry on....cheers :)))
