A Poem by Megan

This burden breaks my shoulders, it's dragging me down

These legs have expired, my feet hit the ground

Awakening to something I don't want to find

Burning with temptation of every kind

If in this existance I could slow my pace

Instead of chasing sin, of the damned race

I'd like my sweet dreams to last

They had escaped too fast

In chaos I wish I was wrong

Still I have known for so long

My feet hit the pavement

I found myself running through that tunnel of trouble

I find I'm immersed in that same crowd

How in the hell can they feel so proud?

Deceit is plotting close behind

Slowly edging itself into my mind

Inevitable for you not to know

It has come to it, I'll have to go

Please grant one wish for me

Awknowledge these mistakes weren't meant to be

Megan this was such a beautiful heartfelt piece.
Yes, one would like to believe that mistakes never is meant to be however they happen. It just all depends on what we do with them. One can either learn from them, making sure never allowing history to repeat itself ever again or we can drown in the regrets of something you can't do anything about anyway.

Wonderfully written, with your emotions very clear and determined. Allow time to heal and then go on, life is way to precious to waste time on things we cannot change.
