Plea of the Ambivilent

Plea of the Ambivilent

A Poem by Margena
"

I was feeling depressed and a few other emotions and just wanted a way out.

"

Please know what is in my heart,

Not what is in my head.

My mind is angry

With all that goes on.

Put on a happy face

For all the world to see,

While asking, “When will this end?”

Knowing I shouldn’t ask.

Voices consume me,

There’s no quiet place to go.

Temptation’s within my grasp

But I dare not reach.

I don’t know what the day will bring.

The awakening of emotions?

These are frustrating times,

I just want to sleep.
