i think it odd (3rd edition)

A Poem by andy groe

i think it odd

that we can recognize certain feelings

but never recognize what they mean,

to remember

and know why they are there,

but not understand why they feel.

i wonder why that is?

be it hurt or happiness

that lays within,

perhaps we will never know,

for these feelings

cannot be placed in words,

cannot be described in any way.

they are.

they exist

despite a lack of any evidence to hold.

these feelings permeate us,

pump through our heart,

run through our mind,

getting tattered and frayed

by our constant mulling,

turning and turning over and again.

they are ever present,

ever ready to pull at our breath.

then, in the end,

after all the haze

has come and gone,

we find that we know not what to feel

but we can't remember why.

I like this! It's vivid, rhythmic, methodical, yet deliberately fractured halfway through. Good conclusion too. Keep it up
