the incorrigible mr. crab

the incorrigible mr. crab

A Poem by andy groe

beneath the silly waves

that quietly thunder above,

lives a serious little crab

who spends his days

waltzing on the sandy floor.

his determined feet

scuttle from shell to stone

as he performs his

funny sideways scoot

for the seaweed's silent audience.

he carries his mood

on the shell of his back,

threatened time and time again

from the constant barrage

of churning feet.

yet despite his modest stature

he defends it with busy claws,

never waning in his efforts

to simply dance the day.

This is very entertaing and somewhat humorus piece. Enjoyed your use of imagery. I love the contradiction between the crab's seriousness and your description of his behaviour. Nicely done! =)
