rain. selah. rain.A Poem by andy groerain. rain. greys the sky. falls lightly down on the warm summer day. it quietly pools along the weathered table grain before at last it slowly dr i p s to the rusty water pail that sits below. droplets tap tap tap, muttering on and on as they s p a t t e r across the wise old window pane. lightly. lightly. steady. steady. steady now. pour. pour. pour. pouring now. the rain fall is sheets as the sky purges itself of the dark clouds that loom overhead. harsh winds rage sideways as the thunder and lightning crack and dodge through the r a i n d r o p s that punish the earth. peace in its finest moment. silence in its purest form. but just as soon, mother's anger surrenders to her own will, and gray skies fade to blue. the sun comes from its hiding place beneath the trees and bows to the rain that still lightly falls. falls. falls. drips. drips. drop. rain. rain. © 2010 andy groeReviews
